nGroove Snap uses advance Rare Earth Magnets (Neudymium). Neudymium have stronger magnetic strength and will hardly deteriorate over time as compared to conventional magnets. Will the magnet in nGroove Snap affects the performance of my tablet or phone?
Mountek has undertaken rigorous testing to develop this mount. Under normal circumstances, the mount does not affect the performance of the tablet/phone.
However, the magnetic source of the mount may interfere with NFC, wireless charging capabilities (ie. Qi), and/or compass of some tablets/smartphones. On most cases, the problem may be resolved by adjusting the placement of the metal badge on the tablet/smartphone.
Due to the magnetic nature of the mount, please be cautious Not to attach credit cards or devices with spinning hard drives on the mount (such as older generation iPods like iPod Classic). Magnets
My charge port is located on the side of my phone. Will this allow for me to charge it at the same time?
ABSOLUTELY. Simply detach the support bar located at the bottom of the cradle, and you can easily mount your phone with the charge port exposed.
Will the blade fit into a cassette tape slot?
Will the blade activate the CD's auto loader?
Although all CD players are made differently, the plastic blade is not long enough to activate the auto loading function.
Can I listen to my CDs at the same time?
Technically yes, you can listen to your CDs at the same time. But we advise that you eject any CDs in your single CD player or multi-disc changer prior to installing the mount. However, If you choose to listen to your CDs at the same time, you will want to be cautious NOT to eject your CDs with the MT5000 still installed. Failure to comply may cause permanent damage to your CD player.
Will this mount work with the specific make and model of my car?
Mountek have been working diligently to test its mounting solution in as many cars as possible. It definitely works in MOST, but Mountek cannot guarantee that it will work in ALL cars. For instance, some cars do not have a front loading CD slot or adequate grooves within the dash.
Update: Please note that Mountek mount is not suitable for Honda City model year 2009-Current due to the Flip Cover in front of its CD player.
My CD player has a rubber/cloth dust guard. Will the mount damage it?
The depth of the nGroove blade is 16mm or .63". If the depth of your dust guard is shorter than this, then the mount may cause it to appear warped or wrinkled. NOTE: you must completely loosen the blade's tightening wheel BEFORE removing it from the CD slot. Otherwise, this may tear your dust guard. Please take these factors into consideration before purchasing the mount.

nGroove Snap+ is not recommended for Heavy Tablets – DO NOT use if device does not hold securely onto the magnetic pad. Weights of tablets vary across manufacturers. Mountek recommends use with lightweight tablets. Generally most of the latest tablets such as the iPad Mini, iPad Air, Samsung Galaxy Tab 7/8/10, Huawei Mediapad10, Lenovo IdeaPad, Nexus 10, Sony Xperia Tablet S/Z2 are suitable. Smartphones of any size also mount well with the nGroove Snap+.

Magnets can demagnetize credit cards and may affect datas stored in spinning hard drives.
